Start your first pass keeping the razor perfectly parallel to the skin. In this position the blade doesn't cut yet: this lets you begin the motion risk-free while feeling the controlled contact of the razor.
Naturally find the cutting point
By slightly tilting the razor, the blade reaches the cutting point — the angle where it starts cutting the hair cleanly without ever aggressing the skin. Thanks to the built-in 30° mechanical angle, this adjustment happens intuitively.
